Creative winter fairytale – one night at makerspace in polička

I love that creative challenges connected to the course ISKM03 Literature, market, and library processes naturally found their way into my life. I knew visiting Makerspace was one of my priorities from this list, but organizing myself there took me some time. Thankfully, the opportunity fell into my lap, and I decided to visit the library and maker space in Polička with my lovely classmates.

Christmas fairytale

Snowing at the beginning of December is rare, and visiting the small charming town, when it is covered in snow, gave us a sense of coziness.

Excitement from new creative opportunities

We had the whole evening and the following day to explore the space independently. Everyone wanted to try something slightly different, such as 3D printing pens, 3D printers, wood cutters, and so much more. One goal was to create cookie cutters and make gingerbreads on Saturday, and we were partly successful (storebought dough is not the best.)

Whole day in Polička was showed me how welcoming Maker spaces can be and encouraged me to visit them more often. The excursion was also a great opportunity to get to know my classmates better and fulfill my dream to spend a night in the Library.
